Household effects to be shipped overseas are secured and transported in large metal containers, carried on oceans vessels to the port of arrival and onward to themsr destination. There are four different types of containers - 20’container (capacity 25 m3), 40’containers (capacity 55 m3), 40’HC containers (capacity 65 m3), 45’container (capacity 85 m3), and we will choose the one that best suits your moving requirements.
The benefit of an 'exclusive' FCL container is that it is only your personal effects within the container, and in the majority of cases, the container is loaded and security sealed at your residence. The container will then be routed directed to the port and loaded on the next sailing to your destination. In certain countries, your container could be delivered direct to your new residence, subject to customs and agricultural inspections in the country of destination. This service is direct and transit times are shorter than shared or groupage services.

Sea transport is most appropriate for large consignments that are non-urgent. Transit times on the water vary depending on the final destination. You can expect shipments from China to take up to 5 -7 weeks for Europe, Australasia 3-4 weeks, and the US West Coast and 6-7 weeks for North Atlantic.
A service in which you 'share' container space with other people moving to the same destination. This is a popular method for transporting smaller volumes and is often used on the USA, UK, and Canada, European Union, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore destinations. This method of shipping favours personal effects packed in cartons with minimal amount of furniture.
Another aspect of Groupage to bear in mind is time: since you are sharing container space your shipment may remain in our warehouse for 4 - 8 weeks before loading. Our office will give you guidance on this. If you require further information please contact our international coordinator.
On arrival at the destination, the container is unloaded and each client’s shipment separated for delivery. Generally this is the most economical way of sending your shipment, as the ocean fremsght for the whole container is shared and you pay only the portion related to the volume of goods you ship.
This is when we build non fumigation pallets or a plywood crate around your goods after packing. Then loaded, as is, into a container bound for your new destination country. We would use this method for small volume shipments to destinations that have low traffic and where we cannot arrange a consolidated container for shipment. This method reduces handling, allows fragile items to be protected full and increases security. An LCL shipment can also benefit from a swifter transit, as like FCL, a LCL shipment can move on weekly sailings to the majority of global destinations.
